tgk cari bahan, jumpa satu poem..
simple je..
d beri oleh seorang lecturer..

i want to teach
my students more
than lessons in book
i want to teach them
deeper things
that people overlook-
the value of
a rose in bloom
its use and beauty, too.
a sense of curiosity
to discover
what is true
how to think
and how to choose
the right above the wrong
how to live
and learn each day
and grow up to be strong
to teach them always
how to gain
in wisdom and in grace
so they will someday
make the world
a brighter, better place
let me be
a friend and a guide
to give these minds a start
upon their way
down life's long road,
then i'll have done
my part

ReplyDeletei love "im a teacher" poem very much.. why? i has a big influenced on me in teaching~ for i had no idea wht TEACHING and Learning are.. i am so lucky, hv met sm1 who chnged my views on teaching.

tht poem (im a teacher) reflects me as nobody, except only a teacher. here and there, visiting, searching, tangkap-ing, sending, studnts' house in the remote area.

i could never be cikgu disiplin....becoz students always laugh at me if i scolded them...
