my little brown book

during my orientation week in UK, our co-ordinator Ann Brumfit brought all of us to The Globe, London to watch Shakespeare' s Henry the 5th.
i bought this little brown book at the gift shop.

since then, i use this book to record all beautiful and meaningful poems, phrases and saying....
this little book is always in my bag...

time,
is too slow for those who wait
too swift for those who fear
too long for those who grieve
too short for those who rejoice
but for those who love,
time is eternity
Lady Jane Fellow
she read this for her sister, Princess Diana during the funeral service 060997

when i read newspaper, books or simply looking at advertisements...
anything interesting...
i will copy them all into my brown book...

watch with glittering eyes
the whole world around you
because the greatest secrets are always hidden
in the most unlikely places
those who don't believe in magic
will never find it
roald dahl
my fav writer.....

when you are good to others, you are best to yourself
benjamin franklin
all the privilege i claim for my sex...is that of loving longest, when existence or when hope is gone - Anne Elliet, character in Jane Austen's Persuasion
99% of politics is deciding whom to blame - John Updike
if a man has'nt discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live - Martin Luther King Jr
if i should die and leave you here awhile
do not like others, sore undone,
who keep long vigils by the silent dust and weep
for my sake-turn again to life and smile
nerving thy heart and trembling hands to do something to comfort other hearts than thine
complete those dear unfinished tasks of mine
and i,
perchance, may therein comfort you

motipnye: hehehe..for me...pembelajaran berlaku d mana2.....sentiasa bersedia..
